Another breathtaking scene, with superb detail to the rocks and stone wall etc. And the snowy peaks and almost piercing light that you have achieved is masterful.

Love the crisp, chilly feel you have created here and I was surprised to see you have used watercolour. Your attention to detail is commendable. I especially love all the crevices, stonework and the lovely warm shades in the foreground. Superb Keith.

Very good winter Lakes "posts" today. The Mickleden crags and the valley capture a cold, crisp Lakeland day, arguably the best time to visit.

This watercolour was painted from a photo taken on a beautiful clear winter day in the Mickleden valley, near Great Langdale in the Lake District.I have tried to capture the clear winter light of a cold mountain day.
