This is a fantastic watercolour (hard to believe that is what it is) - great sense of light and the rocks and the silhouette of the lighthouse is SO good

You have succeeded all round, especially like the subtlety of the sky.

Superb watercolour. The silhouette on the rocks is second to none, as is the reflections on the surface of the sea.

You have tried, and you have succeeded. Always good to see watercolour used at full strength, not diluted to the consistency of ditch water.

Beautifully painted , the light reflections on the sea is particularly good.

Good, strongly painted watercolour.

This is beautiful Keith. Love the silhouetted buildings and the shimmering sea. Tried my hand at this scene but failed miserably. Great work.

You certainly have done that in this tremendous water colour painting Keith.

That's stunning.

Many, many thanks for all your positive comments. As a newcomer to PaintersOnline, I have been overwhelmed by your kind observations. Thank you.

This watercolour was painted from a photo taken of St Mary`s Lighthouse, near Whitley Bay, on a very bright morning. I have tried to capture the clarity of the light and the interesting textures of the foreground rocks.
