Your hard work has paid off Hazel, this is a superb example of techniques.

You have a good teacher - mind you, your teacher's got a good pupil! Painstaking work, but it adds up to a work in its own right.

It's really good but what is Mellotex paper? I never heard of it. Is it very smooth? I love to do pencil art and am always on the lookout for new surfaces.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave such nice comments! Diana this was formerly called Ivorex and it used to be supplied to art stores many years ago. It is now restricted to the printing industry but you can buy it from Mike Sibley's website. It is extremely smooth, virtually no texture, plate finish and archival.

You certainly got a lot out of the workshop. This is superb; drawings do take a long time but the result is well worth the effort. Wonderful tonal values and texture.

Wonderful drawing. I like the slightly surreal mix of objects which makes an interesting composition.

So beautiful, fantastic drawing with shades and tones Hazel.

This is the result of a workshop run by Mike Sibley that I attended recently. It is a composite he made up for us to practise different techniques. This took quite a while to complete, very enjoyable but very time consuming. It is on Mellotex paper using 2H 2B and 4B pencils.
