Attractive pastel, Hazel. I wonder where your light source is - perhaps some shadow on the house would make it appear more solid? Just a suggestion...

I think Jane has hit the nail on the head so to speak as that was what occurred to me but I love that loosely painted foreground, it works brilliantly.

It has good bones, Hazel. Perhaps the right side of the house needs a shadow, as suggested by Val and Jane, and the topline of the mountains could be blurred into the sky to lend a sense of recession. But other than the minor details, it's a super piece, with a lovely, sunny palette. Thanks very much too for your comment on my painting.
