I think your reflections are very good, and I like the way you have clipped this image. Good luck!

You have captured the likeness of the original VW van perfectly. An inspiration to have a go at transport subjects in watercolour. Well done.

Thank you Lesley and James! You have given me the confidence to frame it and let it be hung!

Well, personally I wouldn't have the courage or indeed the talent to paint metal with watercolour! Not a problem you suffer from I see! This is a lovely, effective painting!

Re: your reflections, I think you have overcome a problem I had. I could do reflections in water OK, but on shiny, solid surfaces I always tried to 'fudge' it by shading /transitioning gently between the background and the reflection. But it is not really like; that the transition is much more 'spiky', stark' and bold. That is the only way I can describe it and you have to be equally bold.

This is great Hazel a vdub van, and with a split windscreen as well! Great solid look to it!

My Art club wanted pictures to be hung in a Volkswagon dealership, so I got this picture from the net and painted it on smooth watercolour paper. Not sure if its good enough, advice gratefully received! Found the reflections quite difficult to do.
