This looks to be a lovely spot Graham and very well painted, I particularly like the harbour wall with its variation in colour and texture.

Lovely immediate painting - full of vibrancy, light and colour.

A lovely little painting Graham.

Beautiful patchwork of harbour buildings, and those boats... super!

What more can I say, Graham? Yet another beautiful watercolour and this one has such warmth to it. I can feel the crispness and clarity in the air. As Stephen says, it looks like a lovely spot.

Beautiful watercolour Grahm. great composition and very well painted

Thank you Stephen,Thea, Denise, Lesley, Jane and Petra for once more having a look and taking the time to make such very kind comments about this piece, it is very much appreciated by me.

Full of light, and not over-worked. The paper interests me .... is it the way the camera caught it, or is this an unusual paper, a Schoellershammer maybe? There's a slightly dimpled look which helps with the texture - of course it could just be the way the light hit it. Sorry, you can always rely on me for the boring questions....

Thanks for the kind comments about this painting Robert, in answer to your query regarding the type of watercolour paper used for this piece, it was BOCKINFORD 200lb. NOT, I think it may just be the way the camera captured this image, this is the paper I generally use for all my paintings, hope this answers the question raised .

Catching up Graham, apologies for late comment on your super painting. I admire how you pack so much in without making it over fussy.Everything is balanced and right.

You've caught St Monans harbour perfectly Graham with its jumble of roofs and lovely interesting buildings. There are not many areas nicer than the East Neuk for painters is there, I love it..

Thanks Fiona and Val for having a look and commenting it is much appreciated, as always.

Beautifully done, as usual, Graham! So much spontaneity, light and amosphere, as well as a super composition. It's a real winner!

Excellent watercolour - well done. I drew this view on my recent trip to Fife only slightly round to the left to include the church. Is this painting in square format as shown?

This was a small quickly painted watercolour of one of my favourite areas to visit and paint in the east neuk of fife, there are so many great locations and ideas to satisfy any artist, was really more interested in capturing the massing of the roofs and buildings than anything else at the time,
