This reminds me of a cold, damp, bleak November or February day Graham, the sky is heavy and full of more rain. I like the foreground either side of the road and the open gate leading up to the RED door and the hope of warmth behind it! Brrr!

This has such a different light from your other paintings, Graham. I love the grey sky (if that's what it is and not just my computer screen), the yellow roofs - and the red door is perfect! Perhaps I'll think about painting our front door red...

Just love the way you manage to portray such dreary climate with light and warmth, Graham. It's a wonderful piece, as usual.

This is a beautiful watercolour! The composition and colours are perfect.

This is just stunning! I am a great admirer of your work and I wish I could paint watercolours like this.

Another corker Graham!. There seems to be a touch of the David Bellamys about this one! I love the subject matter and especially the gate!!! B rgds Chris

Thank you Fiona,Jane, Seok Yam,Louise.Mia and Chris for all your kind comments, as always they are much appreciated, and you are correct Chris when you talk about a touch of the David Bellamys as I am an admirer of his watercolour techniques and subject matter for his watercolours albeit I do not consider myself anywhere near to his standard, but perhaps some day if I keep practicing !!

I just love these paintings with the sparkling white houses standing out amongst atmospheric and muted surroundings. This painting packs such a punch - an absolute delight to view. I am also admiring the way you have painted the foreground sections on either side of the track - lovely wet in wet shades of colour.

Lovely bright and cheerful cottages against a stormy outlook, great foreground too.

Thank you Thea and Carole for viewing this painting and commenting it is as always much appreciated and both of you for your kind comments. I have beeen browsing for the first time your gallery of work Carole and must say I am impressed with your many watercolours of flowers etc. I have never quite mastered flowers and think I will stay with my landscapes after viewing your high standard of watercolour work.

Thanks for looking in on my gallery Graham, and your kind words.
