Wallace Monument from University Campus

Super group of paintings, Graham. All done with such a light touch and those flashes of white paper you leave add so much to the feeling of light and looseness.

Agree with Thea, Graham. This is fresh and lovely.

This is just beautiful, Graham. I love all your paintings: you make them so atmospheric and I love your colour scheme, especially the superb greens!

Thank you Thea Jane and Mia for your kind comments after viewing this painting, it really helps to think other artists like your work .

Just back off holiday to find all these wonderful watercolours of places I know so well as I live just along the Hillfoots. You have a great portfolio here and I love the way you handle watercolour, I'm so envious.

Graham this is truly my type of painting, what a marvelous choice of subject with great composition/colouring and treatment. You have a wonderful gallery and I envy your subject matter, being in London we are rather short of the type of scenes you portray so well! Many thanks for your positive comments also. Best regards Chris

Hi Chris, thanks for the comments, much appreciated, think we must be kindred spirits with our obvious joint love of watercolours to paint with, agree that where I stay there are many lovely pieces of countryside to access to paint without spending to much time getting there, except when it is further North. Kind regards, Graham

Hang on Studio Wall

As its the 150 Anniversary of the construction of the Monument thought I would paint this from the Stiling University Campus with the small loch to make a interesting composition
