Beautifully painted Gillian the detailing on the rocks face of the cliffs is superb.

Good one Gillian

Wonderful Gillian.

What a challenge Gillian but those cliffs are superb and the whole painting is full of interest.

Well done, Gillian - I've never seen this place in the flesh, but have seen photographs and film: I'm impressed by the sense of scale you've achieved .... it's, um, BIG, isn't it?

Incidentally, all Puente Nuevo means is 'New Bridge': but doesn't it sound much more romantic in Spanish?

What a fab scene and a super painting Gillian! Very impressive.

Wonderful; grabs the attention. Those cliffs really do look like solid rock.

Thanks everyone. Robert yes it’s BIG ! I have been there a few times. Spanish version sounds more romantic indeed although there are some grim stories of prisoner in Spanish civil war being thrown off the bridge to death on the rocks below!

Well done Gillian. It's to the life, and I have been there several times. The bridge has a doom-laden history including the architect who fell from it to his death trying to reach his hat on opening day.

You’ve really captured the essence of the area in this painting Gillian. Super work.

The textures in the rocks is so impressive. Such a difficult subject

Very good, like it.

Nicely done, beautiful place to visit!

It’s such an exciting place, I know. I love the little blocks teetering at the top.
