Strong Light on Gowbarrow -Oils - 16x12"
Inspired from photo and sketches walking in early March 2019 on Gowbarrow Fell above Ullswater. A cold day, but one with ever changing light conditions from cold and grey to strong light. I took a number of shots , but one view in particular looking back towards Glencoyne really pleased me. I just loved this scene with some snow still on the very tops, but the strong light was enhancing the shadows and picking out the deep browns and russets of the spent heather.
