Austin A30

Your linoprints are so good, Frank. They have style and impact. Add a little nostalgia and you can't lose. I remember these little cars. I went to a classic car show a year or so back, there were about 10 variants of this model...I'd forgotten how small they are.

I agree with Lewis, this jumps out at you Frank, excellent.

Excellent work, I remember driving one of these great Austin’s. It looks simple but we know there is a great deal of skill needed to get such a good print.

Another very stylish linoprint, Frank. Loving these nostalgic images.

Lovely work Frank. My very first car.

So good in every way Frank

A delightful image to bring back memories.

Thanks Lewis, they are quite small, but I drove an A30 van my younger days when I worked in farming and found it surprising how many milk churns I could get in the back! Thanks Tessa, that front wheel surprised me how well it turned out. Thanks Paul, they were a great little car, but used to roll badly when driven round bends at speed! 😀 Thanks Jenny, one more to come before I take a break and work on something else. Thanks Carole, they were perfect for young drivers. Thanks Heather, David and Russel.

Your nostalgic motor cars have been fabulous Frank. There is a lot of work in this method and you’ve done such a professional job. Great work!

Based on one of my own photos taken at a car rally in Market Harborough. Seven layer reduction linoprint (9 colours). Fairly happy with the outcome though another grey may have improved things, but would have laboured the work a bit, when it needs to be fun 🤩. It’s a run of 4 on Bristol Board 250gsm paper using Cranfield Safewash oil based ink with the addition of Rustins oil paint driers.
