An unusual selfie, Frank. I like it, very well painted.

Clever and very good Frank

At first glance I thought you’d got a bit confused with the name Frank, but on proper viewing I realised what’s going on here! Clever chap, well painted.

Clever and really very good !

I was a bit confused at first - but it's such a well painted, attractive still life of the teapot that invites you to look more closely.

Excellent artwork.

That is very clever and so good, Frank!!

Terrific

Very clever Frank. A great idea.

Great reflections Frank and very clever.

Super painting Frank. So well observed.

Love this idea Frank. I zoomed in on the coloured area and your selfie, makes a very good abstract piece by itself.

Thanks everyone for commenting, this was a fun project and didn’t take very long to complete

Good work - we don't get enough work in gouache, it seems to me; perhaps too few of us use it, but I think more should; your semi-hidden self-portrait is a very clever touch.

Very clever and very well painted!

Thanks both. Have to agree about gouache Robert, as it is a fairly versatile medium; can be used thin like watercolour or thick like oils. It can also be lifted off the paper fairly successfully if need be and can be layered if done carefully. Oh, and can be used light over dark. The only drawback I have found is that the colour of dried paint can be a little unpredictable.

Beautifully painted!

Well done, great selfie!

Good one Frank, very clever.

Unusual but very effective.

Frank - this really stood out the other night - so simple and yet so effective (and I love the pink face).

Different! Love this one Frank

Very good painting, Frank!

Still life was our challenge at our art club this month, so I took along one of our favourite teapots. Yes, I am in there somewhere! Gouache on Bockingford St Cuthberts Mill paper 8x10in.
