A good one, Frank. A very expressive face, the eyes are good, they look like they are appraising the viewer.

Back to gouache for me today with this portrait. Thanks to @aferlysunflower2 for the source photo I simplified things quite a bit! I think I got the eyes right (portraits never look right if the eyes aren’t somewhere near perfect). Painted on heavyweight cartridge paper 8x8 inches.
