I recorded this to do exactly the same thing, Frank. She was my choice too, such an interesting face. You've got her likeness.

A fine portrait. Don't follow the show or know the woman.

Not an easy procedure painting from TV, especially using oil pastels so I greatly admire your efforts. Have missed this programme as I’m in Spain at the moment. Is it on Sky? If so can’t get it. The portrait oozes personality Frank.

Thanks all. Marjorie, I agree, Haydn was by far the best sitter to paint, unlike the guy with the scruffy hair! Carole, yes it’s on Sky TV, I don’t have Sky but subscribe to Now TV when PAOTY comes on, then cancel it afterwards 😊. I either watch it with the little gadget they sent me or on my iPad.

I watched this and recognised her straight away from your super pastel portrait. No idea who she is but I rarely know who these celebrity sitters are! You've done well here. It can't have been easy. You should enter next time!

You’ve certainly got the likeness Frank. Very well done, especially off the tv.

Done with oil pastels on Clairefontaine Gris paper, I did it direct from the TV eye to hand and it took around 90 minutes. Process shots are on my Instagram account if anyone is interested @_frankb10
