But for the pink it's fine Carol, impressive.

Thanks Jim, I used the pink ( darker) to cover to a wren I drew. It all got out of scale because the tree was meant as a little twiggy bush with the wren also cobwebs, but it looked like a giant wren! :))

First thing that struck me Carol was, with the moon up, a bit more shadow areas maybe, and you can lose the pink with more distinct foliage. Just suggestions...

Yes you are right about the shadows Jim. I will have a go at foliage, nothing to lose as it destined for the full bin under my desk! Thanks for your ideas.

"all went wrong" that's my line! I can't see anything wrong with this Carole, lovely shades, lovely texture, just bloomin' lovely!

Thanks Margaret, it never really clicks when I change course half way through! You live and learn :)

You cant go wrong Carole....what ever you do in colour is a winner.

Lovely piece. The moon is a a valuable addition. Lovely textures in the foreground

I think these surprises can make a painting lovely

The only thing I can see, which is a pity, is that the paper has cockled, centre pink. Otherwise, it all holds together very nicely Carole.

Thanks for your comments all, very helpful. Marjorie, I think it is just lighter patch it is where I rubbed out the giant wren :))

Lovely Carole, I like the colours and the composition, wonderful

Beautiful scene and wonderful colours, Carole.

I think this is wonderful Carole, it reminds me of Ann Blockley's beautiful landscapes. Lovely work in the tree branches and gorgeous textures in the foreground and foliage. There's nothing wrong with amending your work part way through and going with the flow - you can always come back to your initial idea on another day! In the meantime I think this is really very successful and absolutely no apology for it is necessary. In fact, why not go further and explore a mini-series of these just experimenting with different colour palettes? Lovely loose work - 10/10!

Thank you Andrea for your comment and kind words I will definitely take them on board:)

Watercolour acrylic inks texture medium. Bit different from what I started out with but all went wrong, critique welcome :)
