A gorgeous piece, Carole. Love the clean, clear washes and the elegant fall of the petals. I would never have guessed you painted from a silk flower! Thanks very much for your very kind comment on my painting. I've answered your question regarding what I did beneath the painting. I hope it's helpful.

Absolutely beautiful!

Thank you very much Seok and thanks so much Sarah.

Lovely delicate study Carole, very well observed.

Beautiful and delicate Carole fabulous technique, very nice indeed .

Thanks Alan and Dennis much appreciated.

Lovely rich colours in the cream petals. Simple and well painted.

You have a lovely way with white flowers Carole, so stylish and never overworked !

So delicate, beautiful work

Thanks Debs, very kind. Thank you Lesley for your comment.

I have only just discovered your amazing gallery, Carole, and really enjoyed exploring. Others have probably said this already but your high standard of work looks perfect for botanical book illustration. Personally I love your fantasy section and could imagine children, as well as adults, being captivated.

That's a beauty Carole , very difficult to pitch those washes correctly , great painting

John very kind of you to look into my gallery thank you! Especially your generous comment. Actually I like the mixed media in 'fantasy' subjects, much more fun to do. Thanks again.

Thanks very much Dermot.

Lovely painting, I find Hydrangea's difficult to paint like this.
