Bold, simple composition and perfect colours

This delicious apple is beautifully drawn and rendered. The background is effective, the way you have melted green values into one another with no hard lines.

Overall this is a significant improvement on my first attempt IMO. I missed out doing enough yellows on the body of the apple, but I think that unless you'd seen the reference photo, you wouldn't know. Is it juicy enough to eat? 8"x8" Water-mixable oils on Arches oil paper. After a tutorial from Marion Dutton.
