Don't do yourself down, this is very good and that vase particularly so.

This is good, Rod. And you can always come back to it if you feel like doing so. I find flowers so challenging, especially when there are many and with different colours... I think flowers demand a lot of patience and calmness and I often tend to run

Arresting painting. Yeah for water-soluble oils. I use them, too. This is a charmer, bold, stunning, beautiful.

My attempt at an impressionistic still life, “sort of” following a Clare Bowen (@clarebowenartist) video. I loved her presentation, and the way she thought out loud as she was painting. I learned a lot from watching her work. My attempt nearly went into the bin. However, I stuck with it, and I am actually pleased with the jug. The flowers …. not so much. There is an impression of a vase of flowers, but that’s as much as can be said. Water Mixable Oils on a 12” x 16” Canvas
