Wow Fiona that’s beautifully done. I love the sky!

Yes, great sky, Fiona. Love the palette.

The sky gives real atmosphere to the picture. ( But I'll keep the clear deep blue skies that we are having at the moment ).

Wonderful watercolour, Fiona.

Nice effect with the back washes in the sky Fiona.

electric - one can feel the energy that went into the painting of it - eye catcher. Lucky indeed to have this scenery on your doorstep.

There's definitely rain in that sky. Super work, Fiona.

Lovely watercolour Fiona, skilled use of washes and great dry brush work.

Many thanks Tessa, Seth, Pete, Tony, Cesare, Brian, Mike, Jen, Lewis, Barry for your comments, much appreciated as always. I thought this a bit stiff, I haven’t done much watercolour painting for a while. I have the chance to do more as the farmer cut the grass at the back of me yesterday, so, more watercolour and more rooks!

I find this particularly attractive Fiona -my sort of scenery. I think the atmospheric sky really makes it. ( have just sent an E-mail)

Love the way you have painted the sky, you can see that drizzle falling

That's fab Fiona! I love the sky and your greens are super, just beautiful!

Its lovely how the brightness still shines through those heavy clouds Fiona. Like the back line of mountains in the distance too. x

Carol, (got your email) Linda, Margaret, Rachel......thank you ladies for you kind remarks.

Beautiful picture Fiona. Wish the view from my home was like this!! :D

Thanks Keith, you’re very kind. Yes, it’s a lovely view, there are hills under that sky somewhere...lol.

As said Fiona excellent sky and colours.

Thank you Richard, appreciated.

What a lovely sky and the colours are great!

This is super, Fiona....I love the use of a limited palette....it gives the picture a very moody feel.....great use of watercolour.

Alita, Chandra.....thank you both very much.

Thank you Margaret.

16”x12” watercolour on Arches. View from front garden a couple of mornings ago, oddly there was no sign of the sun in the sky but some of the landscape as lit up. The hills were hidden under a drizzly sky, only the lower tree line and fields on the lower slopes were visible.
