Apologies for quality of photo, surprise, surprise it's raining again here!

What a greit idea!

Thanks Juris!

Terrific. Labour of love I assume, you been at this for six months? ( paper date). Lol.

Great creation, great imagination, great boots Fiona.

How great is this, I had to look twice to see you'd actually painted onto the newspaper!! Brilliant.

Eye catching and creative Fiona, well done. I see the arts got a good showing but the weather has got the boot. lol

Lol....thank you Brian, yes, 6 months! I keep papers in the stick box for the fires. Thanks very much Michael! Many thanks Linda, got the idea from a thread on the forum, Alan B and Robert J said they use to use newspaper paper for charcoal drawings. Haven't got any without the print so next best thing. Thought the newspaper suited the subject. Yes, I'm pretty ticked off with the weather at the moment John, nothing but rain for the last three days, whilst in Englandshire, you are basking in sunshine ☀️ Thank you very much for your comment. Still, it's given me the opportunity to get creative, otherwise me and my old boots would be out in the garden! Lol

Love the idea behind this. Very creative piece.

It's a very clever idea, so clever I wish I'd thought of it!. Well done Fiona, in with a good shout for the competition I would say.

What a brilliant idea Fiona! Very clever work indeed, I would never have thought of this. By the way, it's raining here in Wales too.

Which competition? What an inspiration. It is just brilliant all round, Fiona.

Good, lively work Fiona.

Excellent idea Fiona and a fantastic result! You can ride a motorbike and drive a tractor and probably anything between, I'm in awe! I tried motorbike once and went straight into a brick wall...

Thanks very much Peter, why not have a go yourself. You did think of it in a way Alan, you gave me the inspiration to use newspaper from the charcoal thread on the forum. Thank you.

Margaret, it's still raining! Thank you for your support. Thanks Pete! Favourite shoes competition Gudrun...have go, do your riding boots on a copy of Horse and Hounds, or something. The racing times would work! Lol Thank you for your comment. Thank you very much Stephen.

Oh dear Satu, I hope you didn't hurt yourself. I had my first motorbike at 16, we parted company, not too seriously. Then my dad bought me my next one.....bikes and horse mad, but I kept falling off horses, mind you I've had a few scrapes on bikes too. I've given both up now, reluctantly, I don't bounce as well as I use to....lol still got my little Johnny though...(tractor) Thank you very much!

No apologies needed its brill Fiona

Fantastic Fiona, a great pastel and great memories to go with it. A winner in my books!

Many thanks Jenny, Russell, Carole for your feedback.....appreciate it.

Very interesting charcoal drawing

What a fabulous creation, Fiona. So different, just brilliant.

Thank you very much David and Ellen for your lovely comments.

I was OK, just hurt my shoulder a bit but the brand new bike suffered more ( my pride too). Haven't touched a bike since.

Brilliant Fiona. Very 3D, really looks like a pair of boots standing on newspaper to catch the dirt.

What a brilliant idea and a great drawing of the boots!

Oh dear Satu, yes pride can take a bartering in situations like that. Been there....lol. Thank you very much Val, that was the idea about not cropping the image, so you could see the floor and not just the newspaper and boots. Thank you Teresa, very kind of you.

Incredibly creative and a splendid piece of art

Thanks Dermot!

Large! Charcoal, chalk and a little pastel on the most important pages of the news paper. The weather forecast and art. Done for the POL competition. Not the prettiest of boots but we've been places....they are/we're my motorbike boots, we've done some crazy things on two wheels some of them scary. Now we share a more relaxed pastime, we share my favourite place on earth, my garden. That's why they are my favourite boots.....exciting memories and peaceful moments.
