Certainly not failed, it's better than mine Fiona!! I love the method.

As Carole said great method, and a super eye catching image. What more can you ask.

It isn't that bad if you ask me.

Nice failure though Fiona lol

This certainly isn't a failure Fiona! The method and style is a refreshing change from the usual boring still life fruit image and the colours, marks, light and tones are lovely - and for that reason, as you're familiar with dragons, I'm 'in' and want to make you an offer. I'll give you 100% of the money for 0% of your business. I want to work alongside of you. I think we'll get on well.

Nothing to be sorry about Fiona, it's a fantastic painting, not an abstract but a really wonderful modern interpretation of the subject. I love the colours and the composition and the ink certainly adds something special into it. Needs to be framed and exhibited! Well done!!

Abstract or not this is a tremendous piece. It's bright, zingy and works beautifully.

Great energy to this modern still life Fiona! Expressive! the new method you are experimenting with is working! :)

Beautiful and very modern, Fiona!

Love it Fiona, well done, especially for trying some different and making a what I consider a success

Ha ha.... you are a lovely lot and far too kind as well! I thank you all for your continued patience and encouragement with my daft experiments and terrible results!lol Get ready for the next one...........

I really like this, Fiona! It's attractive, different, individualistic, and interesting. Always good to see a painting with personality, and this has bucket loads! Lovely work.

This looks very nice, Fiona. I used this technique when studying art in the 60ties, never did it since. Well done :) Mia

This is a lovely design Fiona, and so good to see your diversity, keep it up.

Wow! I think that's turned out brilliantly!

Many thanks Ann, Mia, Alan, Keith glad you like it, that's very encouraging thank you.

I agree with everyone else Fiona, it's bright, colourful, well painted and it sparkles!

I thought it was done on black....I really like the texture which has come through and the vibrancy and the colours and the objects. It may have gone in a different direction to what you'd planned Fiona, but the result is a good one!

very bold and inventive Fiona excellent effort

Fantastico..I feel some very different work will be coming from you very soon. You won't be able to stop at just the one !

Thanks very much George! Thank you Marjorie, you're right it didn't go as expected..lol Ha ha Louise.....I need to stock up on the ink before any more of this ilk come off the production line, you really get through some with this technique! Thank you.

What can I say fiona.....I love the oranges... ;-)....

Especially for you Alan! lol

Two thumbs up!

Lol...thanks Pete!

Fiona, I love ink resist paintings, they produce such a distinctive finish. The colours in this one blend really well together and the composition is lovely. (Next on my list of things to try!)

16" x 12" mixed media....acrylic and Indian ink. Satu, I started off with all good intentions, then it went down hill rapidly after the first stroke of the knife!lol I did this on a watercolour paper and it did cockle a little bit but it's a gummed block so it should shrink back when totally dry. I think I would sooner use canvas for this method....I wonder how it would work on canvas board? That's next I think!
