Hi Fiona its nice and isn't it funny how they look different when you look again . There are no real rules about beauty it can be abstract or realistic , it is not necessary for it to be realistic to be beautiful that's my . Some say what is it if its abstract but its not necessarily anything .zany way this is a lovely painting.

Kal, Dennis, Derek, Dennis, Ian thank you for having a look. Having fished this out I have looked at several others that were doomed for the dustbin or to gather dust in the drawer, and have realised that my own view of art has changed over the years.

I don't know why you hated this one as it has loads of merit - lovely light, great textures and a good composition. Sometimes you jut have to put some time and space between doing a painting and making your mind up about it. I always prefer my paintings after about 3 months of them being out of sight in a drawer!
