This is amazing Fiona, lovely scribble, lol :)

You have drama and movement Fiona great combination.

Great full arm work Fiona some great effect achieved and a whopper

Wow Fiona, it's enormous and wonderful! I can see the enjoyment! Full marks!

Lol...thank you very much.

Lovely array of horizontal and vertical strokes , great technique and that is one big piece of work :)

Hi Fiona - I've not been contributing much of late to the gallery (and I've got into trouble in the past for saying this) but I'm finding the predictability of the work posted to be getting somewhat boring - wash your mouth out - but every do often something comes along that is spontaneous, original and exciting for whatever reason and this one falls well and truly into that category. Just lovely linework that says it all without saying much at all. Do post more of these.

Cor, Fiona!!! What a whopper!!!! I bet you feel much better after that. . . ? ? ? ? ?

Thank you Dermot. It wouldn't fit on my easel Dermot, had to resort to the kitchen table! Then had to stand on a chair to take the photo.....

Hi Michael, I understand what you're saying, I need to chop and change my own stuff, if I didn't I would get bored with it. I know taking this attitude probably doesn't help me get good results but I would rather that than get fed up of painting altogether. I didn't have anything in mind doing this one, just laid the paper out and picked up a stick of charcoal...after five minutes, this appeared. I went for quantity rather than quality...lol. I really enjoyed doing it though except for cleaning up afterwards. Thank you very much for your words of encouragement Michael.

I do, I do Jennifer......much better!lol Thank you.

Well, as Michael has said, there is a lot of predictability on the site, but I couldn't have predicted this very large sketch from you Fiona, and with excellent spontaneous results.

I will raise this question on the forum, I understand what he is saying but I personally always strive to find new ideas, new methods, some ridiculous, but I try... And even then very often without comment from some of the 'old school'.

Release, exuberance, the joys of working large. All come out with this piece Fiona. I must do more of it.

I think it helps if you can draw, Fiona, lol! This is superb, energy just buzzing off the page, great use of lines and tones.

Thanks Alan.....I would never put your work under the label of 'static', it's always challenging.

Derek, you would have a great time working at this size I know you would produce a masterpiece!

Oh no Seok, I've been sussed!! You are right, working at this size does show up my very bad drawing skills!!lol Many thanks Seok.
Ha , Ha , the thing we do for our art , I'm laughing at the thoughts of you standing on a chair :)

Great piece Fiona, the feeling of depth and the created perspective excellent.

Thanks again Roland!

Just back after a week in Northumberland with my brother and sister in law so I'm playing catch up on the gallery. I bet this looks even more impressive when viewed live, you must have a giant easel :)

Hi Val, bet you've got lots of inspirational pics of Northumberland to work up into paintings! Yes, huge easel....it's called the kitchen table...lol. Thanks very much Val!
