Thrills and Spills! January sketch

Comments

Saw this on the Forum - and commented on it there - so will just say here, excellent drawing - it really does look like leather (not easy)!

Great looking jacket, I can just see you nipping around collecting thing to draw and paint.

I really like this quirky drawing. The jacket is full of character and I’m sure it has many stories to tell Fiona.

Lovely sketch, and a great memory. I had a couple of motorbikes and a scooter when I was in my teens...a thrills and spills era.

Good one Fiona! Does it ever get worn now?

Good one Fiona

Really well painted Fiona, you certainly have achieved that leather look!!

Very well drawn, Fiona!

Interesting subject, Fiona - impressed with everyone’s commitment to this sketch a day challenge - I did think about it, but probably a bit late to start now. (My husband’s into motorbikes - used to race an old MZ but has a new Suzuki now.)

Great sketch Fiona. It's good how it has that worn look.

Nice study Fiona, love the yellow.

Thank you everyone for your interest and comments, appreciated. Marjorie, not really, unless you count putting it on to fetch the washing in if starts to rain! I don’t know why I keep it, I sold the leather jeans but still use my boots in the garden and my gloves. They are brilliant for pruning the roses, nothing gets through them.

Hey no more wheelies Fiona

Ha ha ....no not these days Dennis. I don’t think I’ve ever done one, not intentionally anyway....scraped a few foot pegs though on the bends.....woohoo! Thanks Dennis.

Sketchbook, graphite pencil and yellow crayon. An old friend, and both with a few scuffs and creases. I decided to hang up my jacket when I found that I didn’t bounce as well as I use to. Miss it though. Marjorie’s red shirt in her latest oil inspired me to do this one.
