Thanks Ceri and Margaret. The plants are very hardy and easy to grow, but like all poppies the flowers are delicate and short lived. Worth it though!

Water-mixable oil; it was harder to get a decent photo of this than to actually paint it - the oil paint doesn't photograph well. But you get the idea.
