And what a raucous din they make, which I love to hear any time of day. Lots to spot in your painting Emma….acrobatics of the Rooks, and the attitudes of some of the sheep, I spotted the one on the left with its back to the rooks but it’s ears are pointing backwards! Lol. It’s altogether fabulous! There’s a roost of Rooks and Jackdaws behind me, there are no nests, I’m wondering if it’s just a winter roost?

Thank you all! Fiona - I’d guess this one is a winter roost, like yours, as there are no signs of old nests. But it’s still early in the year, so worth keeping an eye out for any nest building (and if they’ve got a regular roost, they must nest somewhere nearby? 🤞)
