Excellent Emma, great form and color, great the way you have them in differing positions, I use to watch rafts of these in Scotland when I visited my Daughter up there. nice one.

More eider ducks, from the same group that were idling offshore last week. This time in watercolour, 9x13", HP paper, using just three colours to keep it harmonious - yellow ochre, cobalt blue and permanent crimson alizarin. This painting was a finalist in the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year competition in 2021.
