Although I really like this version too I must admit that I still feel the original version has the edge which is just my opinion. I often think that rather than saying that one version is better or worse than another that it is truer to say that they are just slightly different from each other. The main thing is that you are a really good artist Emma.

Updated version of the one I posted on Wednesday - I’ve blued the distant hills, as suggested, and made some other amendments. Better? Worse? Just the same? Water-mixable oil on paper, 24x32cm. This won the ‘amateur landscape’ prize in the Society of water-mixable Oil Painters 2021 exhibition.
