Orchids on the windowsill

As you have named this piece Ellen it has taken away my various thoughts about it. I feel that Abstract art is personal, a personal language. So I look at this piece I say squares why not circles or triangles? Whatever piece of art I see I do my best to take away that personal like or dislike feeling. Whether I like it or not if it’s good art then I have to acknowledge that. As one really observes ones sees more and I can see thought has gone into this piece, so thank you for this abstracted arrangement.

I love the pastel palette Ellen and appreciate the light and darker shades of pink as the flower and centre. A delicate piece.

John, thank you for your thoughts. I don’t really like naming my abstracts as I feel it’s up to the viewer to create their own thoughts. However, with this one in particular the sun was coming through the window and making the orchids transparent and I could only think orchid! Fiona thank you for your comments. I’m glad you saw the delicacy.
