This is an impressive portrait, Duncan and there's something special about the fact that it's unfinished, although that probably wasn't your intention. You've captured the personality of the sitter with beautifully drawn face, arms and hands and to me that speaks volumes about her. Lovely!

I agree with above comments, lovely as it is Duncan. Unfinished always appeals to me as in botanical paintings, I love to see paintings with pencilwork left without paint.

Unison Pastel on Art Spectrum Colourfix paper. First attempt with this 'toothy' paper. This was a two hour study of a lady whose posture, demeanour and clothong were all quite striking. Pity I didn't have time to finish it!
