Brave man to paint that in situ. My hands woudl have frozen. I love the freedom of this piece.

As long as you didn't get frost bite in the bum. Well worth it as usual. Your paintings are lovely.

Love your work. This one is especially appealing, I can almost feel the chill but hear that running stream. I wish I had your dedication to go out in the cold. It definitely paid off , I think this is my favourite of the ones you have posted. Fresh, free and not overworked. Wish it was mine, clever you.

I like your pictures, and your running commentaries! This one especially effective. I hope your bottom has recovered!

I know the "num bum" syndrome only daft artists would endure it. Having just looked at all of your gallery... I just love them.

Lovely. Well done for braving the 'en plein air' in the freezing cold.... it certainly gives paintings a passion and 'je ne sais quoi' that painting from photos don't have, so long as you don't cut your ear off!

Steve, what a smashing gallery of work. I do like the spontaneity and looseness - you manage to capture plein air. The bleak ragged look of the place which is not at all boring. My kind of painter - so well done. PS I would like to thank you so much for you kind comment on the Monet.

Painted on scene. Water colour, acrylic and natural collage on gesso ground. Snow speckles the watercolour wash like salt and leaves a snow print. Tried to move and almost rolled into the stream. Numb bottom (from sitting in snow!)
