I really like this one, Steve. a nice touch with the bracken. Trees like this are always great things to paint and you obviously feel the same way about this tree as I feel about the Olive Tree I posted last week. I hope your tree lasts a bit longer as it would be nice to see a summer version of this scene. Well done.

Painted this old birch tree last weekend. Very cold with frequent snow showers. .Acrylic, gesso, watercolour, charcol and natural collage (bracken). This tree is in the twilight of its years, suggested by several polypore toadstools on its bole. Hoping it has a few more summers yet, as very fond of it.
