Across the mud flats of budle bay to lindisfarne
Staying in a cottage on budle bay in Northumberland during November this was a painting that had to be painted. The tidal mud flats, full of bird flocks,, runs in to the best beaches in the uk. The views across to the magical site of lindisfarne are stunning and the ever changing skies are a bit special. I've tried to depict the build up of the sea coming in as the tide changed during a dull wet evening. And yes the three posts are actually there.
