White cottage over Elslack way
Whilst walking the local countryside my eye was drawn to the white cottage on the hill just crying out to be included in a painting. In addition, in the same area, there are natural gullies in the hill side. They are almost like folds in the land that lend themselves to abstraction. Both elements have come together in this piece with the abstract gulley providing a foreground foil to the cottage and leads the interest up the picture. I think this cottage must have magnificent views over the surrounding vista.
