I love the off-set composition of this Stevan, also the colours and textures. It’s a wonderfully thought out representation of the original idea that inspired you.

Thanks Fionna, great to get your comments as usual. I did my first demonstration last week and I think my style was something of an eye opener to the audience. The presentation was well received though.

The inspiration for this painting came from a walk in the south Pennines near my home. A farm on the hill appeared to have a barn built over a gully which I figured would fill with water when it rained. This put the idea in my head to include the arch / man made culvert for the water to flow through / down.
