Thank you for your kind words Anne, Heather, Carole and Paul. The colours in the painting are more vibrant in real life, the scanner seemed to drain them. They are a group full of character for sure. Hardest part was working with the distorted view you can get with selfies.

Pen and wash of group of ramblers taking a selfie. Wanted to create a fun loose style, not sure if I achieved that but after fifth or sixth go at it decided to call it a day!

I got interested in painting several years ago and am slowly getting to grips with sketching and watercolour, still so much to learn but thoroughly enjoying the experience. I think I enjoy line and wash the best right now but this will likely change, like the weather as I continue to try new ways.
