Thank you Paul, Spencer, Heather and Anne, for your kind comments. Now that I feel I can draw a bit I thought I would start a sketch book and have done five or so sketches from the day at Woollerton Old Hall from my own photo references, next step will be to sketch on site....

A quick sketch of a gate in Woollerton Old Hall garden following a visit there last week. I used pen and watercolour pencils but find the colours too vibrant so I did go over them with a watercolour wash to try and dampen them down a bit but still quite bright.

Couldn't draw, didn't know where to start before 2022 but then have undertaken online course and put in plenty of practise and at least know how to approach things now. Just need to keep up the practise!
