Both version are really good, there is a slight difference to the figures pose in this one , I like both and would not choose one as better than the other . Good to think about it and challenge yourself to change it .

Many thanks Paul and it is kind of you to say so. I was a bit heavy handed on the mud in the first version and couldn't live with it so just had to try again (smiley face here).

Pen and wash. As I was really unhappy about the mud/foreground of the previous painting with this title I posted a few days ago, after a good think about it I tried again and am much happier with this version.

Couldn't draw, didn't know where to start before 2022 but then have undertaken online course and put in plenty of practise and at least know how to approach things now. Just need to keep up the practise!
