You are right to be pleased with the result, Diana. This is wonderful! What size is it?

Lovely painting of a seaside front, amazing as usual well done Diana

Excellent work!

Love how you have painted the buildings Diana, without fussy, unnecessary detail. Super colours.

Beautiful subtle painting Diana. A lovely spot.

You've done an outstanding job Diana, love it, always went to Scarborough for our holidays when we were little and this is just how I remember it 😀

Wonderful!

Vague in detail but all there Diana, as I remember it. Love the wash of sand at the high tide mark.

Thanks Mia. It’s half imperial size. Lovely to hear from you Tao. Thanks for your kind feedback Thank you Linda Thanks Carole. The tutor taught us to simplify fussy areas. Thank you Elaine and Linda. The outskirts of Scarborough are so beautiful Thank you Shirley and Fiona, I painted this quite loosely with a bit more detail in the actual hotel which is such an iconic building and needed to be recognised

Superb Diana, the hotel is grand & the lack of detail in the foreground draws your attention directly to it.

Impressive work Diana.

Fabulous work

You have captured the sunshine so well Diana, this is a lovely portrayal of the British seaside.

Thank you Brian. My tutor has helped in demonstrating the simplifying of details. Thanks Stephen snd Romila. Thanks again for your interest. Thank you Tessa. Tackling this has given me the confidence to try a similar one that I’ve wanted to paint for a while.

So you should be pleased - it's a good one!

I like this. Great vibrant colour, well done :)

Thank for your encouragement Heather and Tom. I thought the colours were bright but the place is loud and brash along the front and all the lovely terracotta rooftops

Loads of atmosphere in this one, Diana, and beautiful rendition of light.

A good sense of the cast light Diana, but I hope you have not stopped the oil painting.

Thanks very much Alexandru and Seok. Redo to my tutor for this image. Morning John. No I haven’t given up the oils. I have bought additional work space so I have a table for oils as well !

Oh pleased to hear that. Yes you need different work places for different mediums otherwise you have to keep cleaning things away. I have a work room which is now full up so I have take space in the living room as well. Take Care.
