This is the first sketch / painting I've done outside in the winter. I have recently inherited a house in Cornwall so while doing the place up am using the opportunity to paint/draw the area as a complete contrast to my usual still life studies. Within minutes of starting, the rain came but actually enhances the atmosphere I think
