your the glass master Diana , im sorry to hear of your bereavement . and welcome back.

This is fantastic, Diana! Absolutely love this! P.S. I hope the wedding goes well for you!

Amazing painting as always, Diana. Sorry for your sad news, I'm glad to see again your stunning paintings.

Incredible piece of work Diana. Those distorted reflections...wow.

Thank you Jim. I hate being away from my painting for so long. I've been seeing subjects I'd like to paint all the time Ive been away but picking up the brushes again is quite daunting. Thanks Dennis, while I was away, I took photographs for reference. Many of them were glass! Hello Jennifer and thank you. A funeral and wedding in a space of two weeks has been hectic but I'm pleased the wedding is second. Morning Cesare. It's good to have time to look st the gallery again. Thank you for your kind words. Thank you Sylvia. Something really draws me to those subjects because I have been in the most beautiful Cornish countryside for a few weeks and came home with reference photos of glass!!

I like it as it is also, nicely observed and drawn.

Stunning Diane, i wouldnt even attempt to try and do something like this...

It is good. You have chosen a really different aspect which makes this work stand out.

Beautifully executed as always with your wine glasses Diana. Hope you all enjoy the wedding!

Wow this is amazing Diana, very clever work.

That is wonderfully observed and painted Diana especially the reflections in the glasses at the top. Superb!

Beautiful still life Diana

Sorry to hear of your loss Diana. Always different, always challenging....superb!

Wow! Incredible :-)

Thank you Alan and Peter , your comments are very motivating . Derek, I think it was you that gave me some advice on a previous glass painting .... about keeping the stems straight. Thanks for that as I kept it in mind this time .Thank you Carole, I'm sure we will all have a lovely day at the wedding though a couple of guests have died and one is critically ill . Its a good job its so close now ! Thank you Margaret , I'm pleased that you like it and its interesting to get peoples reactions because it helps to decide which paintings might be worth submitting to exhibition or competitions. Thank you Val and Anne. I love the distortion of objects seen through the glasses. Thank you Petra and Linda, I really appreciate you taking time to add your thoughts. Hello Fiona and thanks for being there in the comments as ever. Our loss is bringing life changes as we have inherited a beautiful house in Cornwall and are seriously considering moving there to live .. Thank you Gudrun and Stephanie , its such a boost to read comments like yours and very much appreciated. Diana

This is amazing, Diana. Perfectly painted glasses!

Thank you Mia. Your comment is very valuable to me Diana

Wow, what great glass work! I am struggling with a perfume bottle at the moment, in more ways than one, am unable to hold the brush this week, but getting the right light has been difficult

All your work resonates with talent Diana. It must be a great gift and source of satisfaction for you. I hope you never lose it again.

Thank you Sally. I hope you'll be able to hold your brush and enjoy your painting very soon. I tried to leave the paper white for the highlights and I had my own photograph for reference so took a long time studying the highlights . Michael. Thank you for such a lovely comment . What a lovely thing to read and boost my confidence ..You have really given me a lift.. Diana

Half imperial medium weight rough I have been AWOL for several weeks due to a family bereavement which has involved a lot of travelling to The Lizard in Cornwall My daughter gets married next week so I'm looking forward to getting back into my painting. This one has been ongoing for a few weeks and still partly incomplete but I rather like the vague outer areas
