Thank you Cesare. I have heard that it's perfectly normal to reach a stage where a painting looks as if it won't work and rather than binning them, I'm learning to work through that and hopefully complete them with a sense of satisfaction. Thank you Carole. I am rather too fond of a mince pie or two!! Thanks Dennis. I hope I can get this to a point where I'm happy with it

Beautifully done as usual, Diana, I especially like the crispness and strong contrast on the right hand side. (I also get to a point in all my paintings where I feel like binning them, but have just learned to push on through that stage - it can be quite hard, though, at times.)

I think it's fine just as it is, Diana. Highly effective palette too.
