Gate on a walk

You have really made something of this gate. Most people would have just walked by, but your keen eye has spotted a great subject for a painting. The gate looks nicely rusted and a bit bent so has lots of character. I do like your rocks as well.

I keep returning to this as I browse through yes I agree with Thea it's the gate it draws you in to the whole painting the hook that draws you in as what a good quality painting should do .

An old gate with some interesting boulders caught my eye when walking and I sketched it then worked it to this.
