Good textured wall there Derek, I can spot the runner too.

Love it Derek you have massive talent and soak everything in and your colour is very well developed

Thanks dennis, always got the eye open and luckily the memory works most of the time.

Certainly a remarkable piece Derek, the wall is a triumph and that almost sublime runner shows the speed so well.

Nice flint wall Derek

This is great, Derek, a real feeling of movement in the runners (and love that turquoise patch).

Turquoise patch? If I am not mistaken its not a patch but a runners shirt and shorts! :) Nice work Derek.

Thanks Alan, Jenny, Peter and Janet. Well spotted Janet

Smashing work Derek! The flint wall looks fantastic and the way you created it is so inspiring and clever!

It's a beauty you never know what Derek will do next but you know it will be good.

The shapes in the wall actually accentuate the movement of the runners, like a trail in their midst. Great work Derek.

Nice one Derek, you have really captured the colours of the Flint, I like Flint walls they have a real timeless feel about them with that shiny blue/ green couloir.

Thanks Satu, dennis, Andre and Malcolm

I did know that the 'turquoise patch' was a runner, probably didn't express it very well!

Don't worry jenny not meant to be figurative or realist

A splendid sense of energy and movement really cleverly done

The missing C Dermot and thanks Gudrun

27 x 24cms on reverse of something else. Flint walls are fairly common round here and the Hash was running past one over the weekend and gave me an idea. The wall is more important. I created the spacial "arty or not" elements, scribbled watered down masking fluid for the joints then went in with the cards and acrylic paint and inks

Eleventyeight as my hashing pals called my new age recently, it's supposed to sound better. Trying to paint every day in acrylics using only expired credit/debit cards, and partially succeeding as they're only for me and not show these days.
