Forgot to say I had the far right distant trees too large and painted round them quickly with white and it sure shows

Hi Derek I like it its in your style I've painted this picture myself way back I copied it closely which was a mistake I should have done what you have .Nice one mate

Wellthanks Chandra but what you can see are the marks of a bristle decorators brush I apply the gesso with.

Gesso put on nice and thick with the visible brush marks really works on this , the figures are great ,a overall visually impressive painting.

30 x 23cm on mount board heavily gessoed and planned for another work but liked this scene from the Jan issue of The Artist. The texture doesn't really help and it's a real quicky using the cards.
