Using the remains of paint on the stay wet, a right old mess after grand daughter was set free with my approval.

Great picture Derek, love the expression on the figure's face and the colour against those dark tiles.

Thanks Carole, power back on after three hours plus before we got up?

Expressive style, that's caught my attention.

And I'm allergic to the cold - love it Derek

Derek, I absolutely love this. Firstly it made me laugh out loud. I like the way you've done the tiles and drawn the lines of the tile cement ?end of brush into the wet paint? It's so understated yet expressive. Totally original subject and style. Love it.

Like this Derek it has a special charm when you catch it like this its great but I find it virtually impossible to repeat it just had and this has has

Derek, is that your green shower cap?

Very comical... Like it.

Innovative concept. I liked the way you played with textures on background.

Thanks you Ivan, Michael,Caroline, dennis, Marjorie, John, Alan and Manashree A momentary thought, thinking about my wife and her reaction. That is nothing like her of course, she would go mad if it was my idea of her as she doesn't even like my portrait of her which IMHO is superb and Jamil Akib agrees. I was going to use "The Scream" then I thought I can do better. Used a large rough decorating brush for the background in the mess and then palette knife and ruler for the tile shapes, otherwise cards plus a stencil for the showerholes. Not my shower cap either, don't need one.

What a treat to view, Derek.

Thanks Gudrun and Sian

Derek, she should be blue, surely??? ??

Has caught my imagination, Derek. Like it! Don't we suffer with our granddaughters - bless them! By the way, sincere apologies for calling you "Dennis" after you were kind enough with helpful comments about my post office. Can only blame it on a "senior moment"!

Thanks Adele, no worries. She is 9 today, looking forward to all the tribe at Benny and joes whatever

Happy Birthday Granddaughter Snowdon. Oh you poor grandparents - it is so noisy there! Yes we have been several times - alas!

Thanks Adele, we are expecting that. Burgers and a beer for me.

No need for a shower cap? My husband's the same. He calls the top of his head his early weather warning system.

P.S. I think you should enter this into the RA Summer Exhibition next year. And no I'm not being sarcastic.

Thanks Caroline, I do see your point - good one.

Eleventyeight as my hashing pals called my new age recently, it's supposed to sound better. Trying to paint every day in acrylics using only expired credit/debit cards, and partially succeeding as they're only for me and not show these days.
