Thanks dennis, the most detail I have tried for a long long time, the eye and the beak, but with a rigger it worked out reasonable.

Good movement Derek! Lovely texture to the feathers too.

Thanks Sarah a perfect use of the cards, that's why I chose it to do.

Really works!

Thanks Debs and Gudrun, not often I pick such subjects but it fitted my mood and aspirations

You've captured the predatory nature of the bird, Derek. Well done!

Thanks Seok, my wild life birder friend likes it.

Wow - done with a credit card - quite amazing detail in that case - the feathers are beautifully defined and I love the way the owl swoops into the painting with his beady eye fixed on some unfortunate creature who is destined to be his lunch! Super.

Thanks Thea, the credit, not his card, is the photographer's for compo. I thought it suited the use of the cards and did.

I like the fact that the owl is coming into the picture and heading towards darkness.

42 x 25cm On black Ingres paper, only credit cards apart from eye and beak. Raw umber and white for bulk of it. From a photo in my Nat.Geo book, pretty faithful, no messin' about. Need a better pic as the black paper is dense all over.

Eleventyeight as my hashing pals called my new age recently, it's supposed to sound better. Trying to paint every day in acrylics using only expired credit/debit cards, and partially succeeding as they're only for me and not show these days.
