Sorry to hear about your stroke, Derek. I too had a stroke last year which took my right hand side and my speech. I took up my watercolours again after a break of 15 years. I'm self taught, but go to a lovely art group at my local art shop, where we chat, drink coffee and actually paint as well. I like your loose style and try to achieve the same but it's easier said than done.

Full with your quality Derek lovely work

Nice sketch Derek, I like the colours.

Great sketch Derek I like it.

Brilliant work Derek. I'm learning a lot from you and this style and I'm looking forward to attempting it in practice soon.

Thanks Ellen, dennis, Cesare, Carole and Michael. It's not a deliberate style. just the way i have sketched for years but it works for me.

well done under pressure Derek David Harrison

Great pen work Derek.

Thanks David and Fiona (I don't think so)

Great sketch work and so well complemented by the washes,

I always enjoy your figures, Derek. The gestural drawings are always lively, and this is no exception.

Cheers for that Seok

Eleventyeight as my hashing pals called my new age recently, it's supposed to sound better. Trying to paint every day in acrylics using only expired credit/debit cards, and partially succeeding as they're only for me and not show these days.
