A photo of the early stages of this portrait turned up yesterday after 25 years in the loft. Jenny "got" the finished painting at the time but alas I did not take a photo of it. The "book" became an oxblood leather handbag, the hat a deeper red, the mans suit, indigo, the scarf textured. The photo is not great but my album of work would not be complete without "Jenny's smile"
