Magnificent Anglo Norman Trim Castle, built in 1172 by Hugh De Lacy on the banks of the River Boyne in the then Kingdom of Meath, is the largest best preserved Castle in Ireland. Sketched and photographed from the North bank of the Boyne on a trip to see family in Trim, I finally got around to the painting which only captures one side wall and the Keep of the castle.
